How to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your VEYM account

What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

MFA is a two step process for authenticating a user when they try to login to an online service. Have you ever noticed a website sending you a text message and then asking you to enter a code before logging in? This is one example of MFA.

How does MFA help protect my account?

Even if someone has your password, they will not be able to login to your account without properly verifying using the second method. While it may seem like an inconvenience, adding this extra layer of protection is highly recommended and does not change much in your use of VEYM services. For VEYM, we recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app, which will give you a two digit code for you to enter for each login attempt.

How to enable MFA

We can help you enable MFA. Please open a support ticket or email support@veym.net and we'll enable it for your account.

Is this recommended or required?

MFA is required for all admins in the VEYM IT Team. It is recommended for all other users. The IT Team also constantly monitors cyber attacks to our accounts.
