Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace Migration

VEYM is excited to share an update to our productivity and collaboration tools. To create a more streamlined and consistent experience across the organization, we’ll be moving VEYM services currently hosted on Microsoft (email, meetings, and collaboration) over to Google Workspace.

Below are some common questions that may come up:

Q: What happens to all my email and files?

A: Rest assured that the VEYM IT team is automatically migrating your emails over to the Google Workspace. Files that were on OneDrive will be moved over to Google Drive.

Q: How do I access my email now?

A: You can access your email via Google’s Gmail now.

1. Go to gmail.com.

2. Enter your VEYM email, for example truong.truc@veym.net.

3. You will be redirected to the VEYM login screen.

4. Enter your VEYM email again truong.truc@veym.net

5. Enter your VEYM password.

6. You will be redirected to Gmail.

Q: How do I access my files that were on OneDrive?

A: You can go to drive.google.com and login:

1. Go to drive.google.com.

2. Enter your VEYM email, for example truong.truc@veym.net.

3. Enter your VEYM password.

Q: What happens to my calendar events?

A: Your calendar events will now be on Google Calendar, which can be accessed via calendar.google.com.

Q: How do I access my new email on my phone?

A: 

1. Go to the Gmail app or your preferred application.

2. Click on your profile picture.

3. Select “Add another account”.

4. Select Google.

5. Type in your VEYM email, for example, truong.truc@veym.net

6. You will be redirected to the VEYM login screen.

7. Enter your VEYM email again, for example truong.truc@veym.net.

8. Enter your VEYM password.

9. It will redirect back and the account should be added.

For iPhone:

1. Go go Settings > Mail > Mail Accounts.

2. Click “Add Account”.

3. Select Google.

4. Type in your VEYM email, for example, truong.truc@veym.net

5. You will be redirected to the VEYM login screen.

6. Enter your VEYM email again, for example truong.truc@veym.net.

7. Enter your VEYM password.

8. It will redirect back and the account should be added.

Q: What happens to my scheduled Teams meetings?

A: You will need to reschedule them on Google Meet.

Q: How do I access my groups?

A: If you are an owner of a group, you can access them at https://groups.google.com. You can also view all of your group memberships here too.
